Elenia’s smart electricity meters can soon be equipped with Cozify’s HAN reader

A reader manufactured by the Finnish company Cozify can now be purchased for the home automation connection, or HAN port, of Elenia’s new electricity meters. The device can be connected directly to Elenia’s next-generation electricity meters. Elenia has participated in the development of Cozify’s solution, together with Vantaa Energia Sähköverkot Oy and Kymenlaakso Sähköverkko Oy.

As part of its electricity metering reform, Elenia is currently changing the electricity meters of nearly 400,000 of its customers to new smart electricity meters. Thus far, almost 300,000 of our customers have already received a new electricity meter.

The new electricity meters have features that allow people to control their electricity consumption even more precisely. The meters’ home automation connection, or HAN port, can be used to read the electricity meter data for your own purposes. The feature can be used in various smart electrical systems, such as home automation control or electric car charging.

Cozify is about to introduce a Finnish HAN port reader

Cozify supplies smart home systems and is about to introduce a reader suitable for new electricity meters. The reader and the associated mobile application allow customers to monitor their electricity consumption in real time and access Cozify’s broader smart home services, for example.

Cozify’s home automation connection reader is designed and manufactured in Finland. The device has been tested to be compatible with Elenia’s new electricity meters.

When new electricity meters are installed, the home automation connection is disabled by default. You can activate the connection in the Elenia Aina service. (in Finnish only)
